THE CITY

Egham is a small town located in the heart of Surrey, one of the most attractive counties in the United Kingdom, about 30 km from the centre of London. Only a stone's throw away is the well-known Windsor Castle, the summer residence of the British Royal family and a typical example of a medieval fortress.

STUDY FACILITIES

The Kingswood Campus of Royal Holloway is part of London University and is located near the town of Egham, approximately a 40-minute train ride from London.

THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSE

English language courses are taught by British Council-certified teachers for a total of 15 hours of lessons per week.

All students will undergo an entrance test on arrival to establish the level of their knowledge of the language and be placed in the appropriate class. A certificate recognised by the British Council will be awarded to each student at the end of the study holiday.

Two whole days will be dedicated to lessons (morning and afternoon) to make up for hours lost during full-day excursions.

STUDENT ACCOMMODATION

Students will be housed in modern, spacious single rooms with bathroom facilities located on each floor. Common rooms and a coin-operated laundry service are available. Full board is provided throughout the stay.

EXCURSIONS AND ACTIVITIES

London - A trip to Hyde Park, one of the world's largest city parks. Trips are also organised to visit the Science & Natural History Museums;
Oxford - A walking tour of the city renowned for its University, the most ancient in Britain's history;
Brighton - A walking tour of the coastal city, located south of London. It has all the characteristics of a seaside resort. Admission to the Sea Life Centre, the world's oldest aquarium is included.
London - A trip to Westminster Abbey, with admission to the National Gallery and downtown shopping in Oxford Street, one of the most famous and active shopping streets in the world.

Two half-day excursions to:

Henley-on-Thames - A walking tour to discover this wonderful town;
Reading - A walking tour of the town and a trip to visit Reading Museum.

The college has tennis courts, two squash courts and extensive playing fields.
There is a full programme of sports and recreational activities every week.
